NASHVILLE TN. WORK TRIP

Finding a balance between motherhood and the thirst for travel. I do fear that I will miss out on big and little things so I never say no. Especially when it comes to booking a family in a new place that will give me the opportunity to travel. Traveling with kids for work isn't as bad as one may think. Bringing along a sibling or friend or in my case -- my mother -- will help. Not only is it risky to drive/travel on your own, but it's nice to have company in the car for long drives. My mamacita came along for this trip to TENNESSEE and I am so glad she did. We booked a cheap motel and decided to spend our Saturday working and our Sunday exploring Nashville. In this post you'll find a sneak peek of the family I photographed and the many murals we discovered. We also found a yummy coffee shop with a little mural of it's own right outside the front entrance. I really look forward to going back and maybe eating and thrifting next time! Xo

he's been grounded a few times this summer over video gaming and technology getting in the way of spending time and creating memories. sometimes it's also because of his attitude towards me or his grandma. take away devices, put them in check and try to make it fun to flip that frown upside down. with art it's easy. and inspiring. make games out of it. ask them what they see. play ispy. luckily we brought toys on this trip too!

we heard a lot of locals using the word y'all and now i use it a lot and i freaking love the way it sounds so much. something so silly and so small to appreciate while we were here. but the southern comfort and kindness is super real.
