CHICAGO SISTER TRIP WITH PAXTON

this is our third time meeting dominique in the city and we both left inspired. hopefully she moves here next summer! we desperately needed these two days to relax and explore a new neighborhood. chicago has become second home to us. we love that we live just a couple of hours away and this time we are happy to see a new side of the city. river north was lively, eclectic, and filled with anything and everything you need. on our first night we saw a SOFAR (sounds from a room) show in the top floor of an apartment nearby. the show was $20 and free for paxton -- we enjoyed three performances + it was BYOB/snacks. we met some pretty awesome people (who sat next to us) and some pretty amazing musicians. it was paxton's first concert and our first SOFAR experience, and overall we were all EXTREMELY pleased. we'll definitely try SOFAR again! we walked around our neighborhood on the second day, found a rooftop for a cocktail, and then finished off with relaxation on the roof of our rental. our AIRBNB was out of this world. we saw the photos of the rooftop and booked it right away. we all slept in a queen size bed on a loft with the view of the hallway on one side and floor to ceiling windows on the opposite side. we sat in the front room and sipped wine on our last night and had a heart to heart. on our last morning we walked to breakfast and then we took dom to the bus station. I can't wait to be back this summer -- here are some photos from the trip and a link to Michael's rental if anyone wants to stay where we stayed!
